叶冰刚刚从医学院毕业后便进入海城医院成为外科主任易思成的助理医生。救死扶伤原本是她的理想，傲慢可一工作才发现烦恼重重。一方面上司易思成像个魔鬼一样，傲慢对叶冰的工作吹毛求疵，极为苛刻。另一方面漂亮的她备受关注，很多单身医生都想追求他，就连病人也想跟她套近乎。但叶冰对任何人的追求都一概拒绝。在大家眼里，这是个冷若冰霜滴水不进的女孩。外科医生沈友兰是海城医院有名的花花公子，他看上的女孩，就没有搞不到手的。他听说叶冰对任何男人都不理不睬，便在众医生面前夸下了海口，一个月之内，肯定把叶冰弄到手。大家不信，便出钱打赌。开始赌三五百块大洋，最后知道的人越来越多，纷纷掏钱参赌，赌资最后发展到四千块大洋……
