回复 :刘亚彩（周海媚 饰）自幼被卖给大地主关学儒（关海山 饰）的四子为童养媳，在关家饱受欺凌的她，幸而遇上关家二公子关天荫（张兆辉 饰），情投意合的二人，却因命运的作弄，难圆鸳鸯美梦。在错综复杂的情况下，亚彩与佃农方树根（罗嘉良 饰）结为夫妇。婚后，在亚彩的苦心经营下，夫妻关系始见改善，就在此时乡里却不幸地遭逢旱灾，亚彩与树根齐心合力面对困难，但是当家庭刚刚稳定下来，树根却被陷害充军，留下无助的亚彩。亚彩以坚毅不挠的精神，在乡土默默耕耘，等候着夫妻重逢的日子来临。但亚彩用尽半生守候，当树根再次出现时，彼此竟成了陌路人……
