安德烈（阿列克塞·古斯科夫 Aleksei Guskov 饰）被盛赞为音乐天才，日韩曾经当过俄国最伟大的交响乐团“波修瓦”的著名的乐队指挥。但因拒绝驱逐乐团里的犹太乐手，日韩包括他最好的朋友——沙查（迪米特里·纳扎罗夫 Dmitri Nazarov 饰）而被解雇，染上了酗酒的毛病。“波修瓦”现在的经理为了愚弄和羞辱安德烈，让他留在乐团当清洁工。安德烈在无意之中发现了一份传真，法国巴黎最大的普莱耶音乐厅邀请“波修瓦”去演出，要求在两周之内给予回复。安德烈突然想到了一个疯狂的计划，他要把以前的那些音乐伙伴重新聚拢起来。被乐团流放之后，他们现在已经变成了一群混杂在莫斯科街头的最普通的人，从出租车司机、搬运工、跳蚤市场的地摊摊主到色情电影的配音演员，做的都是勉强维持生活的底层工作。他们决定顶替真正的“波修瓦”去巴黎，要向一切不公正的待遇展开复仇……
