两夫妻过着平淡但还算快乐的生活，但一个神秘男子的出现，使妻子背叛了她的丈夫，女人与男子仿佛相见恨晚，但没过多久男子渐渐对女人冷淡了下来，这令女人伤心欲绝甚至想要自杀，丈夫知道后，虽然对妻子的背叛怀恨在心，但是毕竟夫妻一场，丈夫仍然爱着妻子，于是决定找男子报仇。

回复 :1970年代，山西某地。春节将至，妻子突然撒手人寰，把四个幼小的孩子留给了任建国（孙敏 饰），他不得已把先天患足疾的幼子送到福利院。福利院收留了孩子并取名党生53（廉冠 饰），后来党生53被骆驼房村耿二女（曹翠芬 饰）收养，并省吃俭用为渐渐长大的孩子治脚疾。可大夫说要治愈党生53的病要去北京大医院，治疗费要几千元，这可难煞了耿二女。她听云游道士（王哲 饰）的偏方为党生53治病，几个月下来自己也累病了。福利院大花（王玉芝 饰）闻讯，组织社会募捐帮助二女。在大同，党生53遭饭店老板儿子的欺负，恰巧老板正是当年遗弃儿子的任建国，当他发现受欺负的正是自己的儿子后，良心受到震颠。到达北京后，大夫说党生53的病治愈不了，二女闻言感觉天塌了一般......
