《飞燕惊龙》与周游一贯作风相同，国产走的是唯美路线，国产无论是背景、对白、灯光、道具、服饰无不精心设计。《飞燕惊龙》的剧情以九大派与「天龙帮」黑、白两道争夺「归元秘笈」为主线，再辅以俊男杨梦寰（周游电视版由尔各升饰演）同大姐姐型的美女朱若兰（周游电视版由施思饰演）、天真无邪到接近白痴型的小师妹沈霞琳，与背负血海深仇、坚强孤苦型的美女蓝小蝶、李瑶红间的多角恋情为主。武打招式方面，周游一向不惜血本，再加上美女如云，气氛营造得让观众目不暇给。
