回复 :第二次大戦後、戦争を放棄した日本だが、沖縄の軍事基地問題をはじめ永久平和に反する矛盾は依然続いている。このドキュメンタリーは、1960年６月、元Ａ級戦犯・岸信介政権下で日米安全保障条約（安保）が更新されるまでの一ヶ月間、国会周辺に溢れた安保反対の市民デモ運動の濃密な時間へと戻っていく。かつてなく激化したこの闘争には、学生、労働者、子供や女性を含む一般市民が集結。敗戦からまだ15年、二度と戦争はしたくないという市民の意志が一つになっていく。当時の情熱と衝動から生まれた芸術作品（写真：濱谷浩・東松照明・細江英公、石内都、石川真生、絵画:中村宏・横尾忠則・朝倉摂・池田龍雄、丸木位里、映像・冨沢幸男・野田真吉・大島渚・川島雄三、音楽：武満徹・加藤登紀子 ほか）を軸に、戦争の痕跡を生々しく留め、なおかつ非戦への架け橋となる表現の意味と、作品を生んだ真摯な思いが、50年を経て本作の中で感動的に結ばれる。出演は上記作家（一部、作品のみ）ほか、会田誠、風間サチコ、半藤一利、保坂正康、串田和美、ティム・ワイナー（『CIA秘録』）。日本で育ち邦画の英語訳を手がける米国人女性リンダ・ホーグランドの監督作。
